ATLANTA, GA, August 7, 2025 – Bird Loechl McCants & Holliday (BLM&H) represented HPS Specialties, LLC, a Maryland-based distributor of industrial and commercial HVAC equipment in the mid-Atlantic region, in the sale of its business to Virginia-based Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: FERG; LSE: FERG).
BLM&H corporate and securities partner, Kevin J. Loechl, and senior associate, Quincy Jackson, led the firm’s transaction team, working closely with associate, Colton Francoeur, and commercial real estate partner, Lisa G. Rowling, to advise HPS Specialties on all aspects of the transaction.
Pennsylvania-based Trout Capital Advisors, a leading lower-middle market investment banking firm, acted as financial advisor to HPS Specialties. Trout’s team was led by partner, Andrew Rice, as well as Aaron Wilson and Brendon Landis.
Since 2007, HPS Specialties has been a pre-eminent regional distributor and supplier of HVAC equipment for commercial, industrial and institutional applications in Maryland, northern Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and West Virginia, representing major U.S.-based and international equipment manufacturers.
Based in Newport News, Virginia, Ferguson is a distributor of plumbing, HVAC, appliances, lighting, PVF, water and wastewater solutions and equipment to the North American residential and non-residential construction markets.
