ATLANTA, May 6, 2021 – Bird Loechl McCants & Holliday (BLM&H) represented American West Investment Corporation (AWIC) in connection with the lease of a 95-acre tract of property adjacent to the Lodge at Walnut Grove, a luxury private retreat located in Ellijay, Georgia. The 95-acre tract will be used by guests of the retreat to hunt, fish, and engage in other outdoor recreational activities over a range of mountains, valleys and streams in one of the most scenic areas of north Georgia.
Jeff D. Upshaw of BLM&H advised AWIC on all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, lease negotiations, and related corporate matters.
“We worked closely with AWIC’s executive team, third party broker, and the Landlord to navigate the complexities of this large-scale lease to supplement the amenities offered to guests at the Lodge at Walnut Grove. It is a privilege to represent a first-class retreat operator in a transaction that will bring immediate value to the retreat and its guests,” said Jeff D. Upshaw, the head of BLM&H’s Real Estate Practice Group.
