Biography
Having practiced law for over three decades, Lisa has a deep skill set that allows her to advise and represent clients across a broad range of commercial real estate projects. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her clients and representing and advising them from the acquisition of vacant land or a property primed for redevelopment through the development (or redevelopment) process and the eventual sale of the property to single or multiple buyers.
When she is away from work, Lisa enjoys spending time with family, walking, and reading.
Experience
Experienced in representing commercial real estate developers engaged in the development and re-development of retail shopping centers and mixed use developments.
Prepared and negotiated a wide variety of lease transactions for developers and landlords, including anchor and big box tenant leases with national tenants, outparcel leasing, and in-line tenant leasing, inclusive of amendments, assignment, and subletting.
Experienced in advising clients with respect to loan transactions and negotiating related agreements including construction loan agreements, security instruments, guaranties, environmental indemnity agreements, and tenant and title related agreements such as affidavits, estoppels, SNDAs, and landlord waivers.
Drafted and negotiated declarations of restrictive covenants, reciprocal easement agreements, master declarations and infrastructure easements for sanitary sewer, storm water, slopes, grading, and access.
Experienced in reviewing title commitments and policies and resolving complex title and survey matters.
Experienced in advising clients on acquisitions of assemblages of property.
Experienced in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements for sellers and buyers.
Completed more than 200 purchase and lease transactions throughout the southeast for a large grocery store chain.
Handled in-store banking subleases for major grocery retailer in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee.
Assessed and advised landlord clients on tenant default and lease termination issues.
